About Vegan AIP Kitchen

Our Story

Vegan AIP Kitchen started as a personal project to help a family member navigate one of the most challenging dietary combinations: vegan and AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) at the same time.

When someone you love is dealing with an autoimmune condition and also committed to a vegan lifestyle, finding resources becomes incredibly difficult. Most AIP resources rely heavily on animal proteins - bone broth, organ meats, and fish are staples of traditional AIP. Meanwhile, most vegan resources include plenty of legumes, nuts, seeds, and grains - all eliminated on AIP.

We found ourselves in the kitchen, experimenting with cassava flour, tigernuts, and coconut everything, trying to create meals that were both satisfying and compliant. Along the way, we learned which substitutions work, which don’t, and how to set realistic expectations about this unique dietary approach.

Why This Site Exists

This site is our way of sharing what we’ve learned so others don’t have to start from scratch. Every recipe here has been tested and enjoyed by real people following a vegan AIP protocol.

Our goals are simple:

What We Believe

Food should nourish and satisfy. Even on a restricted diet, meals can be delicious and fulfilling. It takes creativity and sometimes adjusted expectations, but it’s possible.

Honesty helps more than false promises. We won’t tell you that AIP bread tastes just like wheat bread - it doesn’t. But we will tell you how to make the best AIP bread possible and how to appreciate it for what it is.

Everyone’s journey is different. What works for one person may not work for another. We share our experiences and recipes, but you know your body best.

A Note on Medical Advice

We’re not doctors or registered dietitians. This site shares our personal experience and recipes, not medical advice. If you’re considering AIP for an autoimmune condition, please work with a qualified healthcare provider who can guide you based on your specific situation.
